About the workshop: Infant massage is rooted in all ancient traditions and cultures. This simple activity grounds parents and their babies in the present moment. It is a pause in an often very busy life where parent and baby can connect. Baby masage is believed to support the development of babies, their body, their brain, their emotional being and their socialization. Stimulation and relaxation take place. Infant massage is inclusive, accessible and rewarding.

About Instructor: Marie Arcand is a certified infant massage teacher. When Marie discovered infant massage, years ago, with a nurse, she adopted this daily practice with her own sweet baby. About the workshop: This 60 minute workshop will dive into what we can do to best support our postnatal bodies from day 1. We will discuss common conditions such as diastasis, prolapse, incontinence and explore why pressure is such a vital piece to healing the core and pelvic floor after birth. We will suggest gentle ways to connect with your body during the early postnatal period as well as movements to alleviate the strain of carrying and feeding a little one. This information will be relevant to all parents, no matter the type of delivery. Q & A will be held at the end to address any other questions you’ve ever wanted to ask your pelvic floor physiotherapist.

About the instructor: Rachelle is a pelvic floor physiotherapist at The Cheerful Pelvis. She has experience treating a variety of pelvic floor issues and values education as her number one tool to empowering her clientele. With a background in personal training and group fitness, Rachelle values movement as a way to maximize function and reduce ones symptoms and limitations. You’re in good hands !
