kids yoga
Carlie is a RYT-200 Certified Yoga teacher, and holds an Applied Specialization in Mindfulness Meditation with a focus on Mindfulness in Children and Youth, as well as a certification in Clinical Hypnosis from the University of Toronto. An experienced youth educator, as a lifeguard and swim instructor, youth soccer coach, and female youth sports advocate, Carlie practices a mindful, compassionate approach to physical literacy and learning. Presence and attention are a great gift and Carlie understands the magic that happens when a child feels seen and celebrated.

Carlie began meditating as a teenage athlete and came to yoga as a young adult to help manage sports-related injuries. Her practice deepened as she journeyed through motherhood, finding connection to her changing body and a supportive community in pre- and post-natal yoga classes. Meditation and yoga have become foundational to her life and have compelled her to share their profound benefits with others.

Studying under her teachers Lucy St. John and Niki Inglis, Carlie is committed to honouring the roots of yoga and holds a deep respect for the wisdom and transformative power of this tradition. Her approach integrates biotensegrity principles and trauma-informed practices, creating space that welcomes all bodies and experiences. She believes yoga offers a beautiful container for kindness - both to ourselves and others - and approaches her teachings with a commitment to inclusivity and equity.
