Mia first practiced yoga when she was 12 years old. She practiced on and off over the years, but didn’t feel a strong connection to the practice until she was in her 20’s, when she met an incredible teacher that showed her how playful and transformative a yoga practice could be.
After committing to a daily practice back in 2014, Mia decided to deepen her knowledge by completing her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Costa Rica that same year. Her love for the practice grew even more, but it wasn’t until her return from her time in Guatemala, that she would start exploring the idea of teaching yoga to others. In 2018 she completed her Kida Yoga Teacher Training (RCYT), and the teaching opportunities naturally came. Since then she’s taught at several schools, and now at Üphoria.
Her classes include calming and fun music, playful yoga sequences, games and relaxation techniques. Mia’s purpose in life has always been to help create a positive difference in the lives of others, especially in the lives of children. She hopes to continue to do this with every yoga class she has the opportunity to teach.
