Theresa is from Ireland and has been living in Vancouver for the past 10 years. She stumbled across Yoga during her final year of University. She originally began her practice to help cope with stress. 15 years later her practice still helps her through stressful times. Her practice is an essential part of her daily routine. What keeps Theresa practicing is the feeling of connection to her mind & body.
Theresa is a certified Hatha and Prenatal yoga teacher. Her classes are thoughtfully sequenced, creating a safe space to connect with the body & mind. Her classes are designed to cultivate strength through the physical practice while using the breath to create a sense of ease & softness. Meditation and moments of pause throughout the practice will cultivate a more mindful experience.
Modifications & inclusive language are provided during the practice, making her classes accessible to everyone. She truly believes Yoga is for everyone & no one should be excluded. She is always open to feedback and striving to improve her ability as a teacher.
Theresa is an outdoor enthusiast, hail, rain or shine she will be out enjoying nature. In the past climbing mountains, snowboarding and camping with her husband George was how she loved to spend her time. Now, she enjoys spending her time with her baby girl, Naoise and George. She still enjoys nature but it's just modified. Theresa also loves to read & listen to audio books. Her hobby is writing blogs for her lifestyle website.
