Andrew

Adult Instructor

Andrew began teaching yoga 10 years ago, and what started as an opportunity to share the practice quickly became an important part of his own learning. For three years, he volunteered his time teaching three public classes every week—an experience he considers one of the greatest gifts in his development as a teacher. Teaching consistently gave Andrew the opportunity to learn through practice. At the same time, he was surrounded by experienced teachers leading Karma Teachers’ 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Week after week, he was able to take what he was learning from those teachers and immediately apply it in his own classes. This combination of education, observation, experimentation, and hundreds of hours of real teaching helped shape the way he teaches today.Andrew’s classes are welcoming, practical, and accessible. He believes yoga doesn’t need to be complicated or performed perfectly to be valuable. Students are encouraged to explore their own bodies, make choices that work for them, and approach the practice with curiosity rather than judgment. His teaching is influenced by yoga philosophy, meditation, breathwork, Yin Yoga, and a strong interest in how yoga can support people both on and off the mat.Andrew continues to approach teaching the same way he did when he began: as both a teacher and a student. Every class is an opportunity to share what he has learned, connect with the people in the room, and continue learning through the practice itself.
