CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is child-centred and play-learning based with a trauma-informed focus, where children are encouraged to be explorative, creative, and imaginative. Through yoga and mindful games, songs, and stories, children are able to explore their relationship to their inner and outer worlds while gaining tools to promote their own curiosity, confidence and wellness. Our certified and experienced children's yoga instructors and childhood educators will plan classes according to the different interests and abilities of each age group. In this class, we will introduce you and your little one to the benefits of yoga through the use of playful stories, songs and props. Not your typical yoga experience, this class is designed to help toddlers build strength and mobility in a fun and vibrant environment. This class will provide your young one with a solid fitness foundation. Come play, explore and connect with your little one in this dynamic and cheerful class.

Explore music with your toddler in this fun and interactive class! We’ll invite movement, instruments and shakers, and singing as we explore different topics in each class. Music and singing have been proven to be one of the best ways for children to speed up their learning process for speech and can help develop language and reading skills. Enjoy connection with you little one through the sound of music.

A fun and dynamic introduction to yoga. In this series, your preschoolers will get a chance to engage with age appropriate themes through yoga poses, creative discovery, song, and free play. Our classes will introduce your preschooler to relaxation and mindfulness techniques using child-friendly props and an opportunity for “quiet time”. Here your preschoolers will lay down the foundation for a lifetime of mindful and ecstatic living.

Whether your child is new to yoga or a Üphoria veteran, your youngsters will begin to develop a deeper sense of body, mental and emotional awareness supported by themes relevant to their lives. Through a lens of social and emotional learning, your child will interact with new yoga poses, yoga games, relaxation techniques, and self-inquiry to promote a sense of personal strength and self- confidence.

Your big yogi will be introduced to more complex yoga poses that will help him or her to cultivate both physical strength and mental focus. Through physical practice, breath exercises and meditation, your preteen will set the foundation for their yoga practice to assist them in managing stress and anxiety, as well as cultivate a love of movement and functional fitness.

Our teen’s series is dedicated to equipping teen’s not only with a strong physical yoga practice, but with a “toolbox” of techniques to encourage self-regulation, self-confidence, and self-autonomy. Our class themes thoughtfully consider teens’ unique stages of development and aid them in establishing a deeper sense of body, mental and emotional awareness to support them both on and off the mat.
