kids yoga

Taylor is currently a student in her first year at the University of British Columbia in the Master of Occupational Therapy program. She is originally from Calgary, Alberta and is new to the west coast. Taylor loves the outdoors and being active. Going to the beach, running, hiking, and going to workout classes including yoga are among her favorite activities. She has always very much enjoyed yoga and actually started attending yoga classes when she was a young girl. She has found that it has had some major benefits in her life including reducing anxiety, improving overall mental wellbeing, as well as some physical benefits such as increased balance and flexibility.

Taylor also very much enjoys working with kids and has pursued this through various employment and volunteer opportunities ever since she was 16 years old. She has ample experience working with groups of children through summer camps and also programs for children with disabilities focused on promoting their physical literacy. She also has ample experience as a developmental aide working one-on-one with children with a diverse range of abilities and interests. She has a passion for promoting the wellbeing of kids & making connections with them.

Taylor strongly believes in the power of movement and mindfulness in promoting emotional and mental wellbeing and feels that she can bring this to the classes she teaches. Taylor is a very compassionate and driven individual who puts her all into her work. She is very excited to be joining the Üphoria Yoga team!
